August is National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM)! NIAM highlights the importance of staying up to date on vaccinations throughout our lives to help protect individuals and communities from serious diseases. We understand that busy schedules can make it hard to keep up with routine vaccinations. That’s why this month is a great time to check in with your doctor or healthcare provider to ensure you and your family are protected. If you’d like to learn more about immunizations, we invite you to attend a NEMS Health Education Workshop.
Topics include:
- Why is it so important to get regular immunizations?
- Who should get the vaccines?
- How do vaccines protect us?
- How do we know that vaccines are safe?
