  • IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT BE SICK WITH COVID-19 OR ANOTHER FLU-LIKE ILLNESS, PLEASE CALL NEMS BEFORE COMING INTO THE CLINIC.
    • NEMS is expanding Telephone Appointments and Video Appointments
    • You can now LiveChat through our website to speak to our Call Center (see chat window on bottom right of this page)
    • Our Call Center and Larger Clinics will be open from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday; and 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday. Phone numbers: 415-391-9686 or 650-550-3923 or 408-573-9686.
    • When calling, please be patient and continue to hold until you speak to an agent. We are experiencing high call volumes at this time.
    • DRIVE-THRU TESTING is available for high-risk patients. You must be an existing NEMS patients -OR- you can register as a new NEMS patient to make an appointment. Please call us to be screened first. You can also learn more by reading our COVID-19 Testing FAQ.
  • If you are having a medical or psychiatric emergency, please dial 911 or go to the nearest hospital immediately.
  • On-call doctors will continue to be available after 6:00 PM, but only for urgent issues.

TEMPORARY SERVICE CHANGES

The following services are TEMPORARILY CLOSED effective March 18, 2020,
until further notice:

  • Optometry
  • Chiropractic
  • Health Education
  • Community Outreach

SAFETY AND SOCIAL DISTANCING PROTOCOLS

If you need to come in-person to a NEMS Clinic, please remember to:

  • Avoid entering the facility if you have a cough or fever
  • Call ahead to make an appointment
  • Wear a face covering (mask, scarf, bandana, etc.)
  • Maintain at least six feet (6') of distance from others
  • Abide by our Social Distancing Protocols

NEMS is actively screening the temperatures of all visitors and staff; and will be adding additional cleaning and sanitation practices.

MEDICAL SUPPLIES DONATIONS

We are currently accepting donations of the following NEW, UNUSED ITEMS during the nationwide shortage of supplies:

  • Coveralls / Full body gowns
  • Unused face shields
  • Packaged, unused protective goggles
  • Unopened N95 masks or equivalent
  • Surgical masks (unsealed OK)

ABOUT COVID-19

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is a global outbreak that has affected people in many countries, including Mainland China and the United States. Local, state, and now the federal government has since declared public health emergencies in hopes of stopping the spread of this disease.

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, cough and shortness of breath. If you have traveled to a country/region with cases of the new virus, and you develop symptoms, call your doctor and tell them about your symptoms and your recent travel.
