La enfermedad de Alzheimer es un tipo de demencia que causa problemas con la memoria, el pensamiento y el comportamiento. Los s\u00edntomas generalmente se desarrollan lentamente y empeoran con el tiempo, volvi\u00e9ndose lo suficientemente graves como para interferir con las tareas diarias. Actualmente, los tratamientos para el Alzheimer pueden retardar temporalmente el empeoramiento de los s\u00edntomas de la demencia y mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas con Alzheimer y sus cuidadores.
