North East Medical Services (NEMS) is delighted to host "A Bridge to Health," the 5th Annual Asian and Pacific Islander Community Health Center Conference, on November 8-10, 2006, at the Hotel Monaco in San Francisco, California. Started five years ago by dedicated board members and staff across the United States, the annual Asian and Pacific Islander Community Health Center Conference is an opportunity for health centers to meet, learn, and explore new ideas and innovations in improving health care services to their patient populations. The focus of the conference is on the unique health care issues of Asian and Pacific Islanders, as well as the leadership and operational development of health centers serving the population. Plenaries and breakout sessions will focus on emerging health issues for APIs, such as obesity, the aging population, and women's health, and also board and operational development. Number of Attendees Expected: 120-150 Audience: Community Health Center Board Members, Executive Directors, and Staff; State and Local Health Care Organization Staff; Government Health Officials and Staff; Academics; etc.
